Day 1:
We left on Saturday morning. The drive took about 2 hours. We were relieved to get out of the car, me and Mum then went to a cafe with no power, while Frasero was sleeping. After that we went to look at 3 mine shafts. Then we started our actual walk it was around 3 km. We were really tired and to our surprise there was another family already there.

Day 2:
It was freezing when we woke up so we had to make a fire. I hopped into the hammock and I …………………..
fell out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we packed our bags, brushed our teeth then we started our actual real life walk.

P.S. The family had kids and they were really nice and lots of fun!!
Bye everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent blog post – looks like a great walk
Great blog post, Amy! I liked the bit about the hammock especially. Did your dad manage to fall in one of the mine shafts? 😀
Great post – Your mine shafts looked much better than the few we found. Did you end up finding the rock-hopping place on the walk back?
Good job cousin Amyo, is your dad able to identify other creatures ? Ie. Giraffe? Elephant? Monkey? Does he need some help?
Hi there i was just wondering if that was the centruy mine shaft in the photo above? I live in Stiglitz and am very interested in the old mining history however i do not recognise the mine in the photo above and was wondering if you could tell me where it is
Cheers Nathan
Hi Nathan,
I just checked my map and I am pretty sure the photo was of the Century Mine. From memory it was under some sort of shelter/hut and there was some mesh across the top of the shaft to prevent access.
I hope this helps.
